1. Registration Procedure

 

FADN Membership

The Federation Afro Diaspora Network (FADN) is a federative umbrella organization. Membership is exclusively open to legal entities, in accordance with the statutes of the Federation.

1. Who Can Become a Member?

Membership is open to:

  • civil society organizations and foundations;

  • institutions;

  • churches and religious organizations;

  • other legal entities that are committed to the interests of the Afro-community and endorse the objectives of FADN.

Natural persons cannot become members of FADN directly.


2. Application by Organizations

 

Registration

Organizations may apply for membership via the official registration form on the FADN website.

 

Conditions

The organization:

  • endorses the objectives and statutes of FADN;

  • has a governing board and at least the statutorily required minimum number of five (5) members/board members;

  • commits to cooperation within the federative structure.

 

Assessment

The FADN Board assesses the application on the basis of:

  • statutory compliance;

  • substantive alignment with the objectives of the Federation;

  • integrity and societal positioning.

 

Introductory Meeting (if applicable)

The Board may decide to hold an introductory meeting to clarify motivation, expectations, and the organization’s role within the Federation.

 

Decision-Making

The Board takes a decision on admission to membership.

 

Confirmation of Membership

Upon approval, the organization receives written confirmation and is formally admitted as a member of FADN, with the associated rights and obligations, including voting rights in accordance with the statutes.

3. Participation of Natural Persons

Natural persons may participate exclusively through an affiliated organization, institution, or church. Their participation and any voting rights are derived from the organization with which they are affiliated.
 

4. Supporters and Constituency

Affiliated organizations may, within their own structure:

  • recruit members and supporters;

  • involve their constituency in federative activities.

The management of membership and supporter records remains the responsibility of the affiliated organization, in accordance with its statutes and applicable privacy legislation.

The voting rights of affiliated organizations are determined on the basis of the size of their constituency and the number of supporters, in accordance with the statutes of the Federation.

If your organization is not yet affiliated with the Federation but wishes to participate in the activities of the Federation Afro Diaspora Network, it is possible to obtain temporary affiliation for participation and voting rights through Stichting HOOB or Stichting One PoweRRR.
