The delegation was received by Ms. Gracita Regina Arrindell, Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten.

The visit focused on an introductory meeting and the exploration of opportunities for future cooperation. As this was an initial introductory meeting, the discussion had an exploratory character. Minister Arrindell welcomed the opportunity to learn more about the mission and vision of the Federation Afro Diaspora Network (FADN) and its efforts to promote connection, cooperation, and advocacy within the Afro diaspora.

During the meeting, various issues of importance to the Afro community within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and beyond were discussed. Particular attention was given to connection, cooperation, social development, and strengthening the position of people of African descent. Minister Arrindell indicated that cooperation is of great importance in achieving common objectives. According to the Minister, it is essential for organizations to get to know one another, exchange knowledge and experiences, and join forces wherever possible. By listening to one another and working together, sustainable results can be achieved and societal challenges can be addressed effectively.

FADN fully endorses this vision. Promoting cooperation, connection, and collective advocacy forms an important part of the federation’s mission. The organization is committed to building bridges between communities, organizations, and institutions with the aim of creating a strong, visible, and future-oriented Afro community.
